THE ABILITY OF GOD

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
12  For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

2 Chronicles 20:15-17 (KJV)
15  And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.
16  To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.
17  Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

The battle is the Lord’s. Every born again believer has God’s ability in them, through the power of the Holy Ghost, but few have ever learned to release that power!

1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)
19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

God is in us to the degree that His Word is in us. God and His Word are One!

John 1:1 (KJV)
1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

God’s Word is over every circumstance in life!

Jesus said:

John 15:7 (KJV)
7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

We stagger at the love and faith, which God has invested in humanity.

John 14:23 (KJV)
23  Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

The Spirit must be expanded by the rebirth to receive such awesome Truths as Jesus spoke when He prayed to the Father.

John 17:22-26 (KJV)
22  And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
23  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
24  Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
25   O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
26  And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus was the exact expression of God’s substance.

Hebrews 1:3 (KJV)
3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The Word was God upholding all things by the Word of His power. God’s ability is in His Word! God released His ability in word form and it upholds all things. We must learn to release God’s ability – that ability within us – the Holy Ghost – the Word – by rightly dividing His Word.

Jesus said:

John 16:33 (KJV)
33  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

His Word works and knows no time or distance, it is spiritual law. It is more powerful than the law of nature or the law of gravity. It does not fail! It will not change! God’s law will not fail and will not change!

God’s Word never changes, but it changes things!

Prayer is a key to God’s storehouse, but faith is the hand that unlocks the door.

Matthew 7:7 (KJV)
7  Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Luke 11:9 (KJV)
9  And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

John 14:13 (KJV)
13  And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you ask anything…

Why did He say anything if it has to be His will, before it works?

God’s Word is His will! A prayer accurately formed and stated from the Word of God will absolutely move heaven, earth and things under the earth on our behalf!

We put faith in a man – a job – that we will work the time to receive the pay, believing for our pay, because they said we would receive the pay.

But, sometimes when it comes to God’s Word, sometimes we say – well I don’t know – go to the Word of God, find what it says about your situation. What you say, what you profess in agreement with the Word of God will come to pass!

Mark 11:23 (KJV)
23  For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
21  Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

We must believe when we pray. Many victories are stolen because of impatience and losing faith. Persistence, diligence, pursuing God until we get what we are praying for is key. If we are pursuing God, we will pray His Word in the pursuit.

Faith, having whatsoever we ask, praying His Word, is things that are not, as though they are as we pray His will!
