CHRIST SOON RETURN
The signs of the season of Christ soon return is in nature, government, and life all around us. Scripture tells us we don’t know the day, but we can know the season. (Matthew 24; Mark 13:9; Luke 18:8; Luke 21:16; 1 & 2 Thessalonians; 1 & 2 Timothy; etc. a few listed here)
1 Corinthians 15:51 (KJV)
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
What a blessed hope we have in 1 Corinthians 15:51. We shall be changed!
The rapture of the church will be the most shocking event to happen in all of human history. Thousands will disappear from every part of the globe! Confusion and perplexity will occupy the minds of those left behind. Many explanations for the disappearance of those missing will be given.
The church leaving all of the chaos and confusion on earth having been “caught up” to meet the Lord in the air will enter a time of rejoicing, happiness, and peace and will find itself before the judgment seat of Christ.
We live in an day in which everything holy is questioned and challenged. According to a Gallop poll, 69 percent of Americans believe in Heaven; 77 percent of the believers in Heaven were optimistic about making it to Heaven, and 30 percent don’t believe or are not sure there is a Hell. Very few saw themselves as headed to Hell.
However, according to Beleifnet.com poll, what people mean by “Heaven” and “Hell” has changed significantly over the last 50 years.
History professor Jeffrey Burton Russell (author of “Paradise Mislaid: How We Lost Heaven and How We Can Regain It”) has said: ”For Christians, basically, Heaven underneath all of the decorations means living in harmony with God and the cosmos and your neighbors and being grateful,” said Mr. Russell, who studied Hell and Satan for 15 years before first turning his attention to Heaven in a 1997 book.
To him, it’s healthiest to see Heaven as starting on Earth, not an existence that “suddenly happens when you die.”
What about Hell and its fire and brimstone? “There is a tendency to overdramatize Hell in order to get it across to people,” he said, but it’s simply “the absence of God, the absence of Heaven.”
In this hour with all the different opinions of heaven and hell, right and wrong, I don’t want to know man’s philosophies when it comes to eternal issues. I want to know what the Bible says about the matter. Do my feelings, my viewpoints, and my understandings line up with the Word of God?
RAPERE – 1 THESSALONIANS 4:17
1 Thessalonians 4:17 (KJV)
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
The word rapture comes from the Latin word “rapere.” For the Greek term used in I Thessalonians 4:17, “caught up,” the word is harpazo.
Harpazo means “to seize, to catch away, pluck, pull, to take by force, caught up.” The bride of Christ will be caught up out of this messed up world!
RAPTURE – 1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-15
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (KJV)
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
It doesn’t matter how unbelievable it sounds. It doesn’t matter how out in left field the masses believe it to be. It doesn’t matter because Truth is what it is: Truth.
The Bible is the undeniable, infallible, true, living Word of God. It is proven over and over, more and more vividly and visibly with every passing day by fulfilling prophecy!
The Bible says that in a moment, in an instant, in a twinkling of an eye, we shall be changed, and we will be like Him. We will be caught up. We will be RAPTURED!
The word harpazo means “stolen out, caught up, snatched out, and claimed for one’s self eagerly.” It is the removal of those with God’s spirit dwelling in them from this earth. His Spirit is housed within the temples of human flesh of you and I.
Ekklēsia (ek-klay-see’-ah) is the word from the original used for the church here on earth. Ek is the preposition which means “out of.” Klay-see-a means “the called out ones.” Ekklēsia is not used after the third chapter until the end of Revelations. In the first three chapters Ekklēsia is used nineteen times.
THE BRIDE IS A FORCE – 2 THESSALONIANS 2:6-7
2 Thessalonians 2:6-7 (KJV)
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
The restrainer in 2 Thessalonians is the Holy Spirit. God’s spirit indwells mankind through the power of the Holy Ghost. This is why it is of utmost importance to yield ourselves to God, allowing the infilling of the Holy Ghost to reign in our lives, so our mortal bodies will be equipped to put on immortality for the change. This change will occur “in a moment and in a twinkling of and eye” at the moment of rapture.
From 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7, we see “he who letteth will let.” This is talking about the church, the saints of the Most High God, the Bride of Christ! God’s spirit, dwelling in believers, will be raptured from this earth, “catching up” those who are watching, waiting, and filled with His Spirit!
At that point, the restrainer will be removed, according to 2 Thessalonians 2:8: The born again Spirit-filled bride is a force that holds back the revealing of the man of sin, the Antichrist!
Soon the world will experience the rapture as it is ushered onto the doorstep of humanity. The Season Signs point to this pivotal point in the history of the bride of Christ! “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,” the earth will experience the greatest change it has ever faced. Be wise, and don’t be left behind. We are in the end time. As in the days of Noah and Lot, life was being lived, the party was on, and unbelief was a solid thread running through those societies as it is today.
Scripture explains explicitly that the rapture is very real; obviously signs of the season continue to unfold, but the next major event to take place on the bible prophecy calendar is the catching away of the saints.
According to 2 Thessalonians 2:6-7, once this takes place, the beast out of the earth and the beast out of the sea will be revealed, and this earth will propel into uncontrolled chaos.
Romans 13:11-14 (KJV)
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
I’ve heard it said many times over the past few weeks that “God has given us a window,” I’ve even heard it explained as an “extension of time,” I believe a better explanation is we have reached the window of allotted time for the church to have Apostolic revival of miracles signs and wonders, walking in dominion, authority and power that the prophet Joel prophesied! There hasn’t been any setback of prophecy, God hasn’t turned back time – this world is still on a march toward its end. The 70th week is still on schedule for God to deal with Israel understanding only God knows the timeline.
Paul wrote the book of Romans to the church, and as he pointed out, its high time for the church to recognize what time it is, start talking the talk and walking the walk of relying on God and watching for His soon return!
